Not Again

Thought this time it’d be different, but that reality was doomed with a 50 yard run in OT.

Jay Ajayi destroyed the Bills for the 2nd time this season and an unprecedented 2, 200 yard games vs one team.

Offensively the Bills set team records with 589 yards of total offense. Tyrod Taylor finally reached 300 yards of passing for the first time in his career and almost complete a game winning drive which had also been the knock on him.

The Bills took a 3 point lead late in the game only to have the Dolphins Kicker drill a 55 yard FG to force OT.

The Dolphins defeated the Bills with backup QB Matt Moore who was subbing in for the injured Ryan Tannelhill.

In OT the Bills received the ball first was in position to at least put points on the board until unreliable Dan Carpenter missed a 46 yard FG. The Dolphins would do nothing on the following possession giving the ball back to the Bills for a sudden death situation, next score wins. The Bills were unable to score and was forced to punt with close to 4 minutes remaining, a decision many questioned after the game. Ajayi then took over on the drive and essentially ended the Bills season with a 50 yard run down the sideline. On the Ajayi run the Bills only had 10 players on the field and missed multiple tackles which they did all day.

With the Dolphins win, it is now official the Bills won’t be in the Playoffs, and can only hep to savage the season in New York by finishing at a even 8-8 for the second straight year.
