NBA Team Thoughts

It’s a month into the NBA regular season and here’s my thoughts on every NBA team so far this season.

                      EASTERN CONFERENCE

Atlantic Division

Toronto Raptors: After resigning with Toronto in the offseason it appears Demar Derozan have taken his next step and look to have the Raptors ready to make another deep playoff run.

Boston Celtics: The Celtics continues to be steady but their lack of another go to player outside of Isiah Thomas may be their downfall. Al Horfod is there but I’m not sure if he’s able to take a game over.

New York Knicks: Things are going slow for the Knicks, I think everyone is realizing this isn’t prime D-Rose, he still shows flashes at times though.

Brooklyn Nets: The Nets are right where I expected them to be, the Nets still won’t be able to reap from their misfortune as the Celtics have the right to swap which is sure to be a high lottery pick in June draft.

Philadelphia 76ers: Joel “The Process” Embiid looks like the real deal. Though being on a minute restriction is averaging close to 18 PPG while playing under 25 MPG. Cannot wait until Ben Simmons is back in the fold. Embiid is the front runner for Rookie of the Year with his play

Central

Cleveland Cavaliers: The class of the East, the Cavaliers are still the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the Finals.

Chicago Bulls: Wade homecoming lived up to the hype as of yet, the Bulls are hovering around the .500 mark.

Milwaukee Bucks: Greg Monroe is definitely second guessing his decision to sign with the Bucks 2 summers ago, look for Monroe to be traded soon

Detroit Pistons: Andre Drummond is a double/double machine, imagine if he could hit free throws

Indiana Pacers: I like the combo of PG13, Jeff Teague and Monta together

SouthEast

Charlotte Hornets: KEMBA vs the World

Atlanta Hawks: Dwight Howard annoys me lol I really don’t know why

Miami Heat: With no Wade or Bosh, the Heat right where everyone predicted, a lottery team. Hassan Whiteside is a good building block though.

Orlando Magic: Weird seeing Ibaka in a Magic uniform.

Washington Wizards: Will Bradley Beal and John Wall co-exist the whole season?

                  WESTERN CONFERENCE

Pacific Division

Golden State Warriors: Still cannot believe Durant signed with the Warriors.

LA Clippers: Is this the year the Clippers go deep in the Playoffs

LA Lakers: Actually looking like a legitimate NBA team

Sacramento Kings: Demarcus Cousins traded by February?

Phoenix Suns: Devin Booker one of the best young players in the league

SouthWest

San Antonio Spurs: The consistent Spurs at it again. Winners of 10 straight at home to start the season.

Houston Rockets: James Harden as Point Guard is working out tremendously.

Memphis Grizzles: Regardless of injuries or anything else the Grizzles always plays tough.

New Orleans Pelicans: Anthony Davis is back healthy and terrorizing the league.

Dallas Mavericks: Sad to see Dirk going out like this, the Mavericks currently have worst record in the league.

NorthWest

Oklahoma City Thunder: WESTBROOK, MVP, WESTBROOK, MVP, WESTBROOK

Utah Jazz: More people will start to learn about Rodney Hood soon.

Portland Trailblazers: Dame Lillard and CJ McCollum can put up 25 a piece any night.

Denver Nuggets: Good to see Wilson Chandler playing good again

Minnesota Timberwolves: The Young Gunz, Coach Thibs will have them competing in not time.
