Unlike the Western Conference Playoffs the East has been a lot more competitive with 3 out of the 4 series being tied at 2-2.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been the lone exception of the group completing a 4 game sweep of the Detroit Pistons this past Sunday. LeBron James continues his dominance in the 1st round as his teams have won 15 straight 1st round games dating back to his days with the Miami Heat. James and the Cavaliers will be able to get at least a week of rest before starting the next series.
One of the more compelling and confusing series between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers tips off in Toronto tonight with DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry looking to shake their shooting woes. The last 2 games have seen both teams alternating blowouts over the other with the Pacers winning the last.
The Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets series have been back and forth with the Heat winning 2 on their home floor and the Hornets protecting their home court as well winning 2 in Charlotte. The series now will shift to the teams alternating games at home, and one team looking to take charge of the series. The Hornet has had 2 big runs in games 3 and 4 that allowed them to seize control of the games.
In a series I called to go 7 games between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks seems to be trending that way as the Celtics won Game 4 in Overtime and 2 games in a row tying the series up at 2-2. The Hawks let a monster performance by Paul Millsap go by the waste side as they were unable to defeat the Celtics on Sunday. The 2 teams play again tonight in Atlanta as the series is up for grabs.
